Become like Children

In Matthew 18, they came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Now, stop and think about that for a second. Here are the guys who have seen Jesus do the impossible. They've seen him heal the sick, feed thousands, calm storms, and they still want to know who’s going to be the greatest. They want to know how to measure up. Can you blame them? Isn’t that what we do too? But what Jesus does next is totally unexpected. He calls over a child and sets that child in the middle of them and says “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
